OWVA Director calls Lars Larson

On Wednesday (at approx. 11:45 AM), Greg Warnock called the Lars Larson Show on 750 KXL Radio, to express his primary reason for OWVA's endorsement of Kevin Mannix.

"Kevin Mannix has always been accessible to OWVA's leadership regarding fundraising for projects, or legal services for vets, or discussions about issues affecting veterans and members of Oregon's military family," said Warnock to Larson.

He continued, "Mike Erickson has never been accessible to us, but seems to have avoided us- like so many other people in this constituency- I have never even been able to speak with Mike, though we have called and have emailed him for a meeting."

Lars noted that Congresswoman Darlene Hooley, who is leaving the seat in January has a reputation of being available to veterans- every time.  Warnock asked, "Why would we expect Erickson to hear our concerns, take them to Washington, and report back to us if he can't even return a phone call when we he is supposed to be trying to win the hearts of voters?  He is absolutely the wrong person to be elected to CD5."

Lars told Warnock that he had the same concern.  Evidently KXL has been trying to get Erickson on for an interview since the Primary began, and he appears to be even more reclusive since the very negative news about his "abortion scandal" broke out over the presses this week.   

"This situation exemplifies the reason we endorse Kevin Mannix- he has been, is, and will continue to be available to the constituency of CD5."

The Directors of OWVA encourage all CD5 voters to elect Kevin Mannix for Congress, because we need our congressional delegation to be accessible to all of us.
